News Lead: Infinera and NEC Corporation announced that Neutral Networks has deployed Infinera's ICE6 technology for its new multinational neutral fiber network NEXT.

Infinera and NEC Corporation announced that Neutral Networks has deployed Infinera's ICE6 technology for its new multinational neutral fiber network, NEXT. The two companies worked closely together to design the largest optical network modernization project between Mexico and the United States, making it the largest project of its kind in the region over the past 20 years. With Infinera's ICE6 800G coherent technology, Neutral Networks' NEXT network will provide high-capacity services and pave the way for future growth in the region.

Neutral Networks provides connectivity to carrier, data center and enterprise customers over its existing 175-mile network. With NEXT, Neutral Networks will build a neutral, diverse, 100% underground and ultra-low latency fiber optic network connecting Laredo, USA with Monterrey, Mexico. Leveraging Infinera's ICE6 technology on the GX series of compact modular platforms, NEXT increases the capacity of the international network to meet the region's rapidly growing bandwidth demands. The network will aggregate and transport 10G and 100G Ethernet services on high-speed wavelengths from Mexico to the U.S. over 175 miles without regeneration.

Infinera's ICE6 is easy to deploy and provides maximum capacity at maximum range, enabling seamless service, lower cost and power per bit, and enabling Neutral Networks to deliver more services per fiber. NEC provides end-to-end integration services, based on more than 20 years of experience in the optical field and comprehensive knowledge of the solutions provided.

Noé Garza, CTO of Neutral Networks, said: "Our goal is to have a modern, world-class network infrastructure in Mexico, and we have found Infinera's innovative ICE6 solution and NEC's local engineering capabilities to be reliable and reliable for a seamless implementation at this scale. Ideal. Our NEXT network is revolutionizing the telecommunications industry in Mexico, enabling it to grow and provide a state-of-the-art cross-border network, and Laredo, Texas is a key access point for international customers in Mexico."

Nick Walden, senior vice president of global sales at Infinera, said: "We are delighted to be working with NEC to design and build NEXT, Neutral Networks' next-generation network, which will be an important foundation for Internet traffic between the U.S. and Mexico. This is the most recent history in northeastern Mexico. One of the most significant telecom investments, we are proud to deploy part of Infinera's industry-leading ICE6 technology in this multinational upgrade. ICE6 has been deployed globally and this deployment will continue to demonstrate the solution's scalability and Flexible services to meet growing bandwidth demands.”

Hideyuki Ogata, General Manager, Service Provider Solutions Division, NEC Corporation, said: "We are delighted to join forces with Infinera to provide transformational solutions for Neutral Networks' vast multinational backbone. Leveraging the region of our 5G Transport Network Center of Excellence (CoE) in Latin America Coverage and optical network capabilities, NEC will continue to implement and operate custom networks in the region, providing state-of-the-art solutions to meet diverse customer needs."
